THE ACTIVITY: In this hands-on event, participants are first guided through an enlightening education about the origins of cacao (with visual aids) to better understand how chocolates are labeled. Participants will then taste premium chocolates of varying cacao percentages and flavor profiles to understand the impact on a chocolate truffle recipe. Chef Zach will keep it fun and interactive by asking questions along the way as a friendly competitive exercise to test the group's taste perceptions. After learning about chocolate’s natural flavors, your chocolate truffle-making expertise will be taken to the next level!
Next, Chef Zach will demonstrate the recipe for making the perfect chocolate truffle with audience volunteer assistants, sharing tips and techniques used in professional chocolate shops. Each participant will receive two detailed chocolate truffle recipes (dark and milk chocolate) to take home.
Next, the program becomes hands-on, as participants don chocolatier gloves, are paired together to create and name their own “chocolate shop” and roll and decorate their French-style chocolate truffles, which each person takes home (6 to 8 truffles per person) in their bonbon boxes. Groups are asked to share their chocolate shop names for more interactive, friendly fun.

**A $15 trip charge will be added for distances between 10 and 15 miles from 1626 Banbury LN, Carrollton, TX 75006-5202, or between $25 and $65+ for distances greater than 15 miles, depending on location within the DFW metroplex and surrounding areas. If applicable, any unavoidable parking/valet fees will also be applied.
